In order to participate in any of the marketing opportunities of StayFingerLakes.com, you must:
- Be a B&B or Inn physically located in one of the following counties that make up the Finger Lakes region of New York
- Cayuga County
- Chemung County
- Cortland County
- Livingston County
- Monroe County
- Onondaga County
- Ontario County
- Schuyler County
- Seneca County
- Steuben County
- Tioga County
- Tompkins County
- Wayne County
- Yates County
- Must have an innkeeper living on the premises.
- Must serve breakfast included in the standard price of the room.
StayFingerLakes.com Marketing Opportunities
- Basic listing on www.stayfingerlakes.com - A listing includes a photo (provided by you) and a description (written by you) with direct links to both your email and your B&B's web site if you have one. Your listing is editable by you at any time, so you can change your descriptions and rates at any time, as often as you like. Each participating B&B gets ONE link to their own web site if they have one, and ONE link to their email. Each participating B&B is listed on the town page for the town of their physical address (not PO box or mailing address).
A participating B&B can request their listing be moved to appear in any one town, provided that they are within 10 minutes drive from the center of that town (as defined by Google Maps). This request may or may not be honored depending on geographic anomalies or factors related to maintaining the integrity of this website.
Basic listings are currently Free, but do require a link back to StayFingerLakes.com using the code
It is not recommended that you put this link on your home page. Your reservations page is a good place. Once the link is on your site, simply send an email and request to be added and include a photo you would like to use for your listing. Your account will be ready for you to use within 48 hours.
- Last Minute Finger Lakes Vacation - This list sends you the most traffic when you need it the most. Your availability listing on this page can be updated by you, as often as you like. It is also a great way to fill up those last minute cancellations. When you are full for the upcoming weekend, you refer people to the site. It is a helpful service you can provide to people who contact you (people remember and reward good service). And when you have openings, guests come your way. It's like Karma for innkeepers.

- Finger Lakes Innkeepers Choice - Each week during the off-season, a new topic is sent out to participating innkeepers with a request for recommendations. An example would be a request for recommendations of the "Best place for a steak in the Finger Lakes". If you submit a meaningful recommendation within the week, then the place you are recommending gets a link to their website and you get a link to your website as the signature on the review. Not only does this help promote other tourism related businesses, it provides a great service to visitors and vital traffic to your web site. These pages show up great in search engines and generate a lot of worthwhile traffic for innkeepers who choose to participate.

Active Enrollment requires the following:

- Create a link on your website that points to the Last Minute Finger Lakes Vacation page using the code in this box. It is recommended that you don't place the link on your home page. A better location is to place it on your "reservations" page.
- You have to participate, which means you must update your availability each week, if you don't update your availability, the system will not list you on the page. You must also refer people to the page if they call for the upcoming week and you are full. If they call for something farther ahead than a week, you can refer to whoever you want to, but if they call looking for a place to stay in the next seven days, you must refer to Last Minute Finger Lakes Vacation.
- Active Enrollment: Free for the first year of your participation. A small annual fee of $15 is required after that. (this is what keeps this site from being covered with tacky looking advertisements like other directories)
