Most beautiful Finger Lakes Waterfall

The Finger Lakes is filled with areas where gorges, creeks, and streams work in combination with the rock layers to form some impressive waterfalls. They each have a beauty all there own and on this page the Finger Lakes Innkeeper's grapple with the task of trying to recommend the most beautiful Finger Lakes waterfall. Here is what they suggest:

Taughannock Falls - There are two spectacular falls, which you can see either by driving and stopping at the overlooks, or for the ambitious, by hiking. Wonderful photo opportunities especially at the main falls, which I've been told are one of the highest falls East of the Rockies. Located near Trumansburg on the Southwest side of Cayuga Lake. ~ Glenda Nash - Gentle Giants Bed and Breakfast

Aunt Sarah's Falls - It flows nicely in summer but is absolutely spectacular when frozen in winter! There is a small parking lot across the road so you can park and walk over for a closer look. Located about a quarter mile north of Montour Falls on Route 14. ~ Burney & Susan Baron Los Gatos Bed & Breakfast

Lucifer Falls in Robert Treman State Park - The point of a journey is not to arrive. The beauty you pass as you take the short hike from the upper entrance to the Falls is just great food for the soul. Lucifer Falls are the icing on an amazing cake. Located South of Ithaca on Rt 13. ~ Steve and Kathy Wirt - Wine Country Cabins B&B

She-Qua-Ga Falls - We like to stop by and see her water drop the 165 feet as she seems to spill right into the end of Main Street, Montour Falls as you look at her from a distance.    It has been written in history's story that a Seneca Chief, the Demosthenes of his tribe, wearing his famed "Red Jacket" pitted his mighty voice against the thunder of those falling waters.   If you choose to stop and see her you will find her behind the stain glassed Memorial Library & Museum and a stately old town hall which I believe dates back to the 1850's years. ~ Al and Nancy - Gorham House Bed & Breakfast
