However, being on the water in a boat can be a great vantage point. When bringing a boat is not an option, renting one may be. The area innkeepers have some thoughts to share on the topic of the best place to rent boats in the Finger Lakes. Here are their recommendations. Basin Park Marina - is our recommendation to rent a boat in the Finger Lakes. Rentals are available for 1/2 day, per day or per week. They offer Manitou Pontoon boats with 60 HP outboards and open bow ski boats with I/O's from Regal or 4Winns with optional skis, tubes and other water toys available. Located in Branchport at the Northwestern tip of Keuka Lake. ~ Al and Nancy - Gorham House Bed and Breakfast Reagan's Canoe and Kayak Livery - Being fans of the quieter self-propelled kind of boats for taking in the scenery, we tend to be fans of canoes and kayaks. Reagan's makes it easy as they'll even deliver them to you. There are some minimum rental requirements to qualify for delivery, but it can save you the hassle of trying to tie a long thin boat on the roof of your car. Located in Himrod, on the Western side of Seneca Lake. ~ Steve and Kathy Wirt - Wine Country Cabins B&B PuddleDockers Kayak Shop - These guys are a great place to rent kayaks. Located in Ithaca at the Southern end of Cayuga Lake. ~ Ralph and Judy - Barrister's B&B Morgan Marine - We have had guests spend enjoyable days on Keuka Lake on boats rented at Morgan Marine in Penn Yan. They are near the village on Route 54, and rent from paddleboats and kayaks to ski boats. Located on the Northeastern end of Keuka Lake ~ Burney and Susan Baron - Los Gatos Bed & Breakfast Roy's Marina - offers boat launching, dock usage and boat and motor rentals. In terms of rentals, they have fishing boats, run-abouts and 24 foot pontoon boats. They are on the West side of Seneca Lake, about 5 miles south of Geneva. ~ Donna Cunningham - Yale Manor B&B
